World Missions Ireland on behalf of the Society for the Propagation of the Faith thank you for your support on Mission Sunday. In 2014, the Mission Sunday Collection in Killaloe Diocese amounted to€64,642. Thank you for your great generosity in difficult times. The people in Killaloe Diocese have been urged to support missionaries working in some of the world’s poorest countries by donating during the forthcoming Mission Sunday collection on October 18th. The theme for World Mission Sunday in Ireland this year 2015 is “Abundant Life”. As we thank you for your wonderful generosity to the Missions over the years we invite you to please continue to help our young churches to share the gift of faith though your prayer and whatever financial assistance you can. Community Centre Ruan – Kitchen & Meeting Room: Work on the Kitchen and Meeting Room is almost complete and they are now open to all, but they must be pre-booked with one on the following: Mary O’Halloran 087-2057019, Fr Pat O’Neill 086-2612124 or Senan Coughlan 086-4475400. Only the red chairs from the Meeting Room are to be used in the Meeting Room - Rooms must be left as found. Ruan Tidy Towns: Ruan progressed again this year in the National Tidy Towns competition gaining a further 7 points, placed second in the county in our category. At this higher level of the competition, points are difficult to achieve while examined over eight categories. Well done and thanks to all who contributed in any way to the progression and enhancement of our village. Anybody who has a child in their care, is welcome, whether it's a parent, a grandparent, or a childminder. We meet for a cup of tea/coffee, and the children get a snack and a drink, play with the toys, and the toddlers do a little art or craft.
