Training for Lay Led Liturgy in Imeall Boirne Cluster

Training will continue in Ruan on Thursday night next 12th October at 8 pm

 

Imeall Bóirne Cluster Mission:  The Cluster Mission will take place from 22nd to 26th October 2017. It will be based in Ruan, with Mission Ceremonies at 8:00 pm every night; there will be morning masses in all parishes. Please make a note of this and encourage family and friends to attend."

Are you a Family Carer?  Would you like to increase your knowledge, look after your physical and mental health, gain support and meet others in similar situations?  If so, Family Carers Ireland Clare Branch invite you to a Carers in the Home Course commencing 18th Oct. at Clarecare, Harmony Row, Ennis. The course will run for eight weeks each Wed. night from 7pm – 9pm. and is free to family carers. Mission Month of October 2017:  World Mission Sunday is in two weeks’ time! The Holy Father invites all Catholics to contribute to the Mission Sunday collection.  World Missions Ireland is the Holy Father’s official charity for overseas mission and is responsible for coordinating Mission Sunday in Ireland.  Mission Sunday materials are available on World Missions Ireland’s website – www.wmi.ie.


Readers and Eucharistic Ministers:  Lists of Readers and Eucharistic Ministers are being prepared for the coming year.   We would welcome and encourage more people, both young and older to have an active part in the celebration of the Eucharist as readers or Ministers of the Eucharist. Please give your details to Mary O’Halloran or Mary O’Donnell in Ruan or to Rose Foudy or Monica Tierney in Dysart, or contact any member or the Parish Pastoral Council or Fr. Pat


Toonagh Crafts: A number of people from the Toonagh Crafts class are going, by bus, to the Knitting & Stitching Show in The R.D.S., Dublin on Thurs. 9th November, leaving from Toonagh Hall. There are still some seats available so if anyone is interested in travelling to the show, they are advised to book early. Tractor Run:  On Sunday 15th Oct the Toonagh hall committee are holding a tractor run, registration at 12.00, run leaving at 13.00. Music, entertainment and refreshments at Toonagh hall following run. The newly renovated sports complex will be officially opened. All welcome.

Meeting in Toonagh Hall tomorrow night Monday 9th to organise events, All volunteers welcome.


“No Excuses Man”!!     From the Men’s Shed to the Men’s Walking Club: Men’s walking club starting on Monday 9th October, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday night at 8 pm. Meeting Point: Entrance to Dromore Wood, walk includes the main road in and Rabbit Island – a distance of 3.4 miles. 

All Men welcome and all fitness levels. Please bring a torch. NO EXCUSES, LET’S GET THIS GOING”


Christmas Fair:  The Ruan annual Christmas Fair will be held on Sunday 3rd December.  We are looking for donations of trees (standing or fallen) which we will cut up. All donations of fuel/silage/hay etc. will also be gratefully received. Contact Joe on 087 2902552 or Senan on 086 4475400

Camogie News: Well done to the U 16 girls on an excellent performance against Broadford 1:12 to 3:3 and the U 13s who beat Bodyke 5:7 to 1:0.

Fantastic effort, skills and determination was shown by the girls in both games. Ruan abú.
