Next Baptism Course: Corofin on Saturday 21st November from 11:00 am to 12 Noon. 

All people intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal course before each child is baptised.

Ruan Christmas Fare

Ruan Tidy Towns & graveyard maintenance group is running a much needed fund raising Christmas Fare again this year on Sunday 6th December.  We are looking for donations of the following:  Cakes & home produce, vegetables, fowl, turf, new or good 2nd hand clothes, animal fodder, farmyard equipment, books, children’s toys etc. Ruan village & all parish graveyards are beautifully maintained, with Ruan coming 2nd in Clare in its category in this year’s Tidy Towns competition & we are appealing for local support to help keep it that way.  Thank you

Ruan Community Centre News: We are having great success with the Tuesday morning Social Gathering in the meeting room at 10:00 and would welcome more people to join us, for a chat and a cup of tea. John Conroy, Fitness coach, with the HSE is joining us soon. John travels all over Clare giving classes for the over 50s – Exercise for Fun. It doesn’t matter what your level of fitness is, you can be seated doing gentle exercise. These classes will be €5, pay as you go, on Wednesday from 1:15 to 2:15. We will have a starting date in the Newsletter soon. All are welcome for a fun hour.

P.S. Rosie McMahon will be on hand next Tuesday morning to give a free introductory session in Yoga.

Cross country running - Well done to Blaithin Barry, Tara Moroney, Emma Masterson and Cliona Jones, representing Toonagh/Ruan who came in third place at the Clare cross country finals in Lee's Road during the week

Date for your Diary:  Ruan Playschool will host a fundraising Bingo Nite in Purcell's, Ruan on Fri. 4th December at 7.30pm., and look forward to the support of the community on the night

Ruan Camogie Club held its AGM on 9th November 2015. The following officers were re-elected:

Secretary Mary Hickey O Brien,   Treasurers: Mary Wynne & Miriam Strand,   Child Officer:  Carmel O’Dea Mahony and Registrar: Niamh Ni Mhuiri. The committee thanked outgoing Chairperson Anne O Regan for her work within the club in the past year and PRO Brid McNamara. The following posts remain vacant:  Chairperson and Vice Chairperson and PRO.                                                                                                                                                                                In order for the club to remain viable for the year ahead and support the game of Camogie in the Parish, anyone willing to get involved and take on the above vacant positions please contact any of  the officers

The Club acknowledges the support from the Parish in the year pasted and wish to confirm we be out Hunting the Wren on 26th December 2015 so any musicians willing to join in with us are most  welcome.

NOTICE of  AGM 2015 The Annual General Meeting of Ruan GAA club will take place at 7.45 pm on Wed Nov 25th in Ruan Community Centre. Club members are invited to submit nominations for club officers and executive committee members to Rúnaí - Kevin O’Regan in advance of this meeting.
