Imeall Boirne Cluster News  A meeting of the Imeall Boirne Cluster is being held on Wed 22nd Nov at 8pm in Tubber hall (one mile
from Tubber towards Boston) The topic of the meeting is “World Meeting of Families” with guest speaker Fr. Arnold Rosney. All welcome to attend


Lay led Liturgies   Preparation for the first Sunday of Advent meeting on Tues Nov 21st at 7.30pm in Ruan Community Hall.
All previous attendees are invited.

Senior Citizens Christmas Party: The annual senior citizens Christmas party will be held on Sun. 3rd Dec. in Morty’s.  All are welcome for an afternoon of good


food, plenty of music and good company.

Zumba classes have resumed in Toonagh Hall on Thursday nights at 8.15pm. These classes were very popular last year as a fun way to keep fit and all are welcome.

 

Christmas Fair:  The Ruan annual Christmas Fair will be held on Sunday 3rd December.  We are looking for donations of trees (standing or fallen) which we will cut up. All donations of fuel/silage/hay etc. will also be gratefully received. Contact Joe on 087 2902552 or Senan on 086 4475400

 

Coffee Morning/Cake Sale
On next Sunday 19th November at 10.30am we are hosting a fundraiser in  memory of Gary Baker of Carrowkeal Beg, in Ruan Community Centre.
All proceeds will go to the ILFA (Irish Lung Fibrosis Association) which supports  patients and families living with IPF (Idiomatic Pulmonary Fibrosis).

Halloween Fundraiser.
Thanks to all those who supported the Halloween party in Toonagh Hall and to all who donated prizes and helped in any way.
€1,095 was raised for Crumlin Children's Hospital.


Clothes Collection: Last pick up for 2017 Tues Nov 14th 10am in Ruan hall


Ruan GAA: 


Ruan Minor Hurling Club will hold its AGM on Wednesday 22nd November 2017 at 8pm in Ruan Community Centre.

Nominations for Minor club secretary and chairperson and any motions need to be with club secretary Claire McDonagh by Friday 17th November.

All are welcome to attend.


Ruan Under 15 team were victorious in the Championship final against Broadford played in Tulla on Sunday last.  Ruan staged a brilliant comeback to win on a score line of 5-15 to 4-11.   Tony Brohan of Coiste na nÓg presented the cup to captain Jack Lyons. Well done to this fantastic group of players and their management team of John Punch, Gerry Heagney, Frankie Power & Dermot McInerney.


The Ruan/Corofin Minors defeated Scariff/Ogonelloe in the Minor B Shield final on a scoreline of 2-19 to 4-9.

Well done to their mentors were Aidan Lynch, Michael Vaughan, Michael Neylon, Frankie Lyons, John Fitzgerald & Joe Cahill
