Next Baptism Course: Corofin on Saturday 22nd November from 11.00 am to 12 Noon
Missionvale: John O'Sullivan is again going working with Sr Ethel
Normoyle in Missionvale, South Africa in late January and is
holding a Christmas Draw to aid the project. Tickets costing €5 will be on
sale shortly and your continued support would be appreciated.
Senior Citizens Christmas Party: The
annual senior citizens Christmas party will be held at Morty Kelly’s on Sunday
7th December. Dinner will be served at 2 p.m. followed by
music and dancing. All welcome.
Christmas Sale of Work: A Christmas sale of work will be held in Ruan
on Sunday 7th December after 10 a.m. Mass to raise much needed funds
for the Tidy Towns and graveyards maintenance.
On sale will be timber/turf/cakes/Christmas flower arrangements &
decorations/2nd hand designer clothes/books/bric a brac – something
for everybody. Come along on the day & bring the family – something
for everybody including face painting for the little ones.

Toonagh
Hall:
A very important meeting will take place in Toonagh Hall on this Wed. night 12th Nov., at 9.00 pm.
People who wish to use the hall over the winter, individuals and
representatives of groups, SHOULD
attend, as they will find out who to contact to arrange times, keys, etc.
Dromore Woods Walks: Walks starting back in Dromore Woods every
Monday, Wednesday and Friday, commencing on Monday 10th November at
8.00 pm at the Entrance to the Woods.
All levels welcome
Notice: Fully qualified and experienced secondary
school teacher available for all levels of grinds in both Junior and Leaving
Certificate English. Grinds will be tailored to all individual’s needs.
Comprehensive notes will be provided as well as homework, corrections and a
detailed approach to answering exam questions. Group sessions available. I also
teach one-one IT classes to all age groups-internet, Skype, photo uploading,

Toonagh N.S.
Parents Association: A big "thank you" to all
who contributed to the recent Clothes Collection to raise funds for educational
supplies at Toonagh N.S. €610 was raised and the Parents
Association of the school is very grateful for the support of the community.

O’Loughlin: Thank you everyone who wished me well and
sponsored me in the Dublin City Marathon. I am just short of the €600 mark in
terms of donations for the Clare Crusaders, significantly above what I
originally had hoped to raise. Thank you kindly for your generosity. For those
interested my final time for the 26.2 miles was 3 hrs 38 minutes
which I feel am only now starting to recover from
Ruan Gaa
Ruan Minor Club: Under 14 Training: The Ruan U 14s are taking part a winter
training programme. They train on Wednesday nights in Lees Road All Weather Pitch
and on Saturday Mornings at Ruan Hurling wall. There is a great turn out of
players and these excellent training sessions are overseen by Paul Howard,
Cyril Lyons & Killian Ryan.
Strength and Conditioning: Coaches from the Minor Club and Senior Club
recently took part in an excellent strength and conditioning training course
given by Kelvin Harold Clare GAA Coach. This was organised by our Coaching and
Games officer Francis O'Halloran.
Notice of AGM: Please take
note the annual general meeting of Ruan GAA club will take place at 4 pm on Sunday Dec 7th in Ruan
Community Centre.
Club members are invited to submit nominations for club
officers and executive committee members to Runai Kevin O’Regan in advance of
this meeting.
