Senior Citizens Christmas Party: The annual senior citizens Christmas party will be held at Morty Kelly’s on Sunday 7th December.  Dinner will be served at 2 p.m. followed by music and dancing.

Christmas Sale of Work – goods needed

A Christmas sale of work will be held in Ruan on Sunday 7th December after 10 am Mass to raise much needed funds for the Tidy Towns and graveyards maintenance.  On sale will be timber, turf, cakes, Christmas flower arrangements & decorations. 2nd hand designer clothes, books, bric a brac – something for everybody.  Donations are needed of all of these items.  Contact Linda Hogan on 086 8748845 or Mary O’Donnell on 087 9776583

Toonagh Hall & Sports Complex.

Now that the refurbishment and repair of Toonagh Hall & Sports Complex have been completed it is necessary to elect a committee to run the facility on an ongoing basis.                                                                                                                                An A.G.M. will be held on Wed. 10th Dec. at 9 pm in the Hall and it is imperative that all individuals and groups who wish to use the Handball Alley, sports complex; hall and kitchen MUST attend, or send a representative, so that the facility can open for the use of the community.

Ancestral Healing workshop in the Tara Healing centre in Ennis on Saturday December 6th from 11-4.30 pm. €50. Will cover briefly statistical records available for those that wish to do a physical check on their genealogy. The rest of the workshop will deal with patterns ailments etc that we know have come thro the generations that show up in our families. Killinaboy History & Heritage Group: Killinaboy History & Heritage Group is delighted to announce the launch of their book “Killinaboy & Coad Graveyards” on Wednesday 3rd December,, 2014 at 7.30 pm in Killinaboy National School Hall. This important publication is the result of several years work and dedication to the upkeep and preservation of the two graveyards in the area. All gravestone inscriptions are documented with some dating back 400 years. Most of these are impossible to read by daylight. A brief but comprehensive history of the locality with some up to now unpublished photographs is included in the publication. This book would make an ideal Christmas Gift for loved ones who are living away.
