Talk for Parents.
All parents of First Holy Communion children in the  parish are invited to a talk by Fr. Ger Fitzgerald in Ruan Community Centre on Tue. next, 26th Sept., at 8pm.

Wedding Bells.
The wedding took place in St. Mary's Church, Ruan on Friday last of Niamh Daffy, daughter of the late Gerry and Maura Daffy of Ruan, and Warren McDonald, son of Catherine McDonald and the late Christopher McDonald of Bray, Co. Wicklow. Bridesmaids were Hazel Byrne and Leona Doherty, while groomsmen were Mark Hind and Philip Ryan. Junior groomsmen were Niamh & Warren's son, Gerry, and Niamh's nephew, Aaron Quirke.
The celebrant was Fr. Tom Fitzpatrick. The reception was held in Bunratty Castle Hotel. Following their honeymoon,  the couple will reside in Tralee, Co. Kerry where they have been based for a number of years.

Clare Stages Rally.
There was a great turnout at vantage points in the parish over the various stages in the Clare Stages Rally on Sunday last. Local interest was spurred on by the participation a number of local rally drivers in the Rally. Anthony O'Halloran with his co-pilot Charlie McEnery came 3rd overall in Class 14,driving a Ford Escort;  Declan O'Regan with Larry O'Halloran as co pilot came 10th in Class 11f and Adrian Hynes had  hard luck having to retire due to engine trouble.
The weather on the day meant that the crowds came out in large numbers and to finish off the day, Michael Flavin provided the entertainment in a marquee in Ruan.

Cahercalla Hospice Coffee Morning.
A number of ladies from Toonagh Parents Association hosted the Coffee Morning in Toonagh Hall on Thursday last, raising €587. The contribution of the children in Toonagh school, the teachers and locals, and all who baked and helped out on the day is much appreciated.
The Coffee Morning was also held in  Ruan Community Centre, where €120 was raised.
This is a great contribution from the parish and it is much appreciated by the Hospice in Cahercalla.
