Running for Clare Crusaders.

Local woman, Patricia O'Donnell (Lynch), is running in her first ever Marathon on Mon. 27th Oct. next in the Dublin City Marathon.   She has been training on the roads of the parish over the summer in preparation for the run, in which she is raising funds for the Clare Crusaders Clinic in Barefield, which offers much needed therapy, free of charge,  to children with Special Needs, in areas such as Cerebral Palsy, Autism, Down Syndrome and other conditions.

Further information from Patricia 0874138757.

Bridge Re-opened.

The bridge at Kilcurrish, on the Curragh/Ballygriffey road has been repaired and re-opened to traffic.  This is a welcome development for people who use this road, as it added a few extra miles on their journeys and caused extra traffic on narrow roads in the vicinity, while it was closed.
