Wedding Bells.
The wedding took place, in St. Mary's Church, Ruan, on Friday last of Trevor Casey, son of Nuala and the late Michael Casey of Rathkeane, Ruan, and Andra Androne, daughter of Doru Androne from Romania.   Fr. Pat O'Neill was celebrant and Bridesmaids were Emma Breathnach, sister of the groom, Linda Casey, Trevor's cousin and Maddy Joyce.   Groomsman was Ronan Breathnach and Bestmen were James Connolly and Sergu Androne, the bride's brother.   Trevor's niece, Bebhinn Breathnach was flowergirl.   
A number of Andra's family and friends travelled from Romania to join the celebration.   
The reception was held in the Armada Hotel, Spanish Point.   Following a honeymoon spent in Cuba, the couple will reside in Ennis.
The Junior girls had a tough semi final game against Broadford on Sun. last, coming away winners on a scoreline of 5-4 to 3-8.   Ruan girls are now in the final of the Junior B, meeting Feakle on Sat. Oct. 13th next.
Following on the Club's success, the u14 girls had a comprehensive win over Burren in the group matches and this takes the girls into a semi final to be played on Sat. 13th Oct next, team and venue to be confirmed.
Ruan u11s had a great win over Ballyea last week.   G.A.A. Coach, Paidi Butler, held a very successful training session at the newly completed hurling wall on Tue. eve. of last week.   
A large attendance of coaches, parents and players gained useful insights on how best to use the wall.
