Wedding Bells.
Edel O'Regan, daughter of Michael and the late Margaret O'Regan of Dromore, Ruan married Liam Twomey, son of Mossie and Anne Twomey of Lisgoold, Midleton, Co. Cork last week in St. Mary's Church, Ruan.   Celebrant was Fr. Pat O'Neill and Bridesmaids were Anne O'Regan and Catherine Taaffe.  Bestman was Sean Twomey and groomsman was Joe Walsh.   Flowergirl was Emili O'Connell.  
Following the Ceremony, the couple were greeted at the Church doors by a Guard of Honour of Ruan Camogie Club, of which Edel is a member. Liam's team mates from his Aussie Rules team in Cork also joined the Guard of Honour.  
The reception was held in the Falls Hotel, Ennistymon.  On return from their honeymoon, the couple will reside in East Cork.
Minor Hurling Club.
Ruan Minor Hurling Club will hold its A.G.M. on Mon. 25th Nov., at 8.30p.m. in Ruan Community Centre.  
All parents, and anyone interested in developing hurling at this level in the parish are invited to attend.
Resource Group A.G.M.
The local Resource Group held its A.G.M. last week in Ruan Community Centre.  The outgoing Committee was re-elected and comprises - John O'Donoghue, Chairman and sponsor, Fr. Pat O'Neill, Vice Chairman, Risteard Ui Croinin, Secretary and sponsor, Mary O'Halloran, Recording Sec., Noel Tierney, Treasurer and John Bell, P.R.O. 
Craft Group.
A group meets in the kitchen in Toonagh Hall on Wed. mornings, 11 to 12 noon, to chat and pass on tips on knitting, crochet and various crafts over a "cuppa".  Anyone interested is invited to attend, and any ideas people may have as to what might be included in the sessions as they continue, will be welcome.  Further information from Rose  at 0870610212.
Mental Health Talks.
The free talks held at the Falls Hotel, Ennistymon, will come to a conclusion on Tue. 26th Nov. next,at 8.00p.m,.,  when Patrick Ryan, Professor of Psychology, U.C.L., and Liam Minogue of the W.R.A.P. Programme will speak on the issue of mental health.  All are welcome.
Camogie Club A.G.M.
The local Camogie Club will hold its A.G.M. on Sat. 23rd Nov. next in Ruan Community Centre, and all players and parents and anyone interested are invited to attend.
Recent Death.
The death has occurred of Connie McMahon (nee Jackson) of Ballaghboy, Ruan. Removal took place from Kennedy's Funeral Home to St. Mary's Church, Ruan, and following requiem Mass, she was laid to rest with her late husband, Tom, in Fenloe Graveyard, Newmarket-on-Fergus.  
Connie is survived by her sons Tim and Nicky, daughters Sally and Christina, extended family and friends.
