Halloween Party.
Halloween celebrations started on Thursday last with a disco in Ruan for the schoolchildren which was enjoyed hugely by all. On Friday night a Halloween party was held in Toonagh Hall.  Funds raised on the night went towards Toonagh School and Down Syndrome Clare, and all members of Down Syndrome Clare  were invited. Ghosts and ghouls abounded on the night and a great fun night was had by all.

“Jack in the Box grows Legs”
Erika Lucas, daughter of Nellie Kelly Lucas of Ruan village has published a children’s book “Jack in the Box grows Legs” - a book which conveys the message of hope and positivity and the importance of following your dreams. Erika graduated from New York University and she was inspired by world travels while she was working as an International fashion model with Ford and Elite Model Agencies.  The book may be purchased from Amazon either in E book or paperback. It would be appreciated if anyone who reads the book might write a review.
