G.A.A. Membership.
The closing date for G.A.A. membership to Ruan Club is  Sat. May 31st. Only fully paid adult members of the club will be eligible to enter a draw for intercounty tickets.  Club membership may be paid to the Registrars, Niall O'Connor (0879497896) or Vinnie O'Halloran (0862788440) or any member of the Club executive.

Camogie.
Ruan u14 camogie players qualified for the u14C final with a well deserved win over Eire Og on Wed. 14th May last. This was the second meeting of these teams and, whilst on their first encounter, Ruan had an easy win, this time they had to play much harder for their victory.  The game ended 5-4 to 4 pts., a scoreline which does not reflect the intensity of the game.  Ruan now go on to play Wolfe Tones on Wed. 28th May in the final.
Meanwhile, the Junior team overcame Wolfe Tones in the league final on Sat. last on a scoreline of 3-9 to 1-4. The win was overshadowed by an injury sustained by Claire McDonnell in the dying minutes of the game which necessitated a trip to hospital, but thankfully, all is well.
The team now has a break of a few weeks before regrouping to prepare for the Championship.

Teach Spraoi Preschool.
Teach Spraoi Kindergarten in Toonagh, has a limited number of free pre-school ECCE places remaining for this coming September.
Further details from Nora (0877731242) or email teachspraoi@gmail.com for further details.

Toonagh Hall Fundraising.
The Toonagh Hall fundraising committee will have stands with different activities going on at the annual Gymkhana in Ruan on June 8th.  A call is going out to anyone who might have a gazebo (or gazebos) that they might loan it for the day, so that various stalls may be laid out.
Please contact Rose (0870610212) if you can help.
To date, the support of the community for the fundraising has been very encouraging, and is much appreciated, and it is hoped that the goodwill of the community will continue so that the hall and sports complex may be re-opened for the use of the whole parish.

Hurling.
Ruan/Corofin u14A side were defeated by Kilmaley and the Ruan u14C team lost out to O'Callaghan's mills in round 3.
Well done to Eoin McMahon, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Conor Wynne and Colin Haugh who played with the Clare u15s and also to Caimin Whelan, who was part of the Clare u14 development squad.
