Alzheimer's Tea Day.
Thursday 5th May is Alzheimer's Tea Day and like parishes all over the country, this parish will host a Tea morning in Ruan Community Centre from 10am to 1.00pm and the organisers would greatly appreciate the support of the community in their efforts to raise money for the Alzheimer's Association.
A new Alzheimer's Daycare Centre and offices are now located in the grounds of Cahercalla Community Hospital and people are invited to call in there on Wed. 4th May for a cuppa and also to have a look around at the facilities, for which much of the funding has come from ordinary people supporting their Tea Days.

Community Games.
On this Sat. 30th April the local Community Games will take place in Ruan GAA field at 2pm.
All the athletic events are open to children u8 to u16 who are living in the parish.  There will also be fun and extra games for tiny tots.
