Family Fun Day.
There was a great turn out in Ruan G.A.A. field on Sunday last when the Family Fun Day was finally held, having been postponed a number of times on account of the inclement weather.   Members of the local G.A.A. Club and the Parents Association of the local primary school in Ruan had cake and bric a brac stands, there was face painting and pony rides for the children, a barbecue and shop.
Young and not so young took part in various fun competitions, and it was a very enjoyable day for all who took part.

The death has taken place in Brentwood, Essex, England of Marie Greene (nee McMahon) formerly of Gortcurka, Dysart.
