Pat O'Neill.  Bridesmaids were Brid and Maura Murphy and Claire Case and Bestmen were Eoin Murphy and Kevin Dingley.
When the couple return from honeymoon in Rome and Sardinia, they will reside in Dublin, where they both work.
Midsummer Monster Draw.
This fundraising draw for Toonagh Hall & Sports Complex took place on Sat. night last in Purcell's, Ruan.   The winner of the first prize of €1,500, generously sponsored by Ryan Bros. (Ennis) Ltd., Toonagh Quarries, was Caroline Griffin of Cusack Road, Ennis.   The success of the draw was due to the generosity of the people of the parish (and indeed outside of the parish) who purchased tickets.

Graveyard Details.
Full details and photographs of each grave in the New Graveyard in Ruan have now been uploaded on to the Clare Library webside (
Details of the old graveyard were uploaded on that site last year, when the book "Transcriptions of Gravestones In Ruan Old Graveyard & The Coille" was published.
Well done to the boys on the Ruan/Toonagh Primary Schools team which had a great win over Scariff in the final which was played in Cusack Park last week.
G.A.A. News.
Ruan/Corofin under 14 side were defeated by Kilmaley in the semi final, after a great fun in the championship.  Credit to the u14 players and their management which made the knockout stages in u14C and u14A championships.
They now look forward to playing in the u13A championship later in the summer.
