Recent Weddings.
The wedding has taken place of Michelle White, daughter of John and Carol White of Ballybrody, Fountain and Kieran Kilkenny, son of Albert and Dymphna Kilkenny, Athenry, Co. Galway, at Kiltullagh Church, in Galway.   Bridesmaids were Samantha White, Pamela Faherty and Lisa Kilkenny.  Bestman was Paul Kilkenny and Groomsmen were Nian Kilkenny and Eugene Lawlor.   
Following the ceremony, at which Fr. McNamara officiated, the couple were joined by family and friends at The Lady Gregory Hotel in Gort for the reception.
Peter Courtney, son of Paddy and Sarah Courtney of Attyterilla, Ruan and Rita Cussen, daughter of Sadie Cussen, Ballymore, Cashel, Co. Tipperary, were married at Boherlahan Church in Tipperary, recently.   
Fr. Joe Egan was celebrant and Bridesmaids were Edwina Courtney and Elaine Lonergan.  Bestman was Christopher Courtney and Mark Brohan was Groomsman.  Flowergirl was Ruby Lonergan.   The reception was held in Dundrum House Hotel, Cashel
Ring of Kerry Charity Cycle.
The McCullough family, Breda, Brendan and Conrad are off to cycle the Ring of Kerry on the 6th July.  This is Breda's 12th year in a row cycling this route, Brendan's 8th and Conrad's 6th and this year they're raising runds for Cancer patients. 
As members of the Burren Cycling Club, they have plenty of practice, and this weekend they cycle in an Post Tour de Burren which takes place on Saturday.

County Fleadh in Miltown.
There was a great number of young people from the parish taking part in the Fleadh in Miltown at the weekend, many of whom attend the Kitchen Sessions in Toonagh throughout the winter and spring months, where they get to play their traditional tunes, sing and dance.  
The top three concertina players are regulars at the sessions - Lily O'Connor came 1st in concertina u12 and Harp u12, and she came 2nd in Duets u12 with Stephen Kennedy;  Sarah Cantillon came 2nd in u12 concertina and Shona O'Halloran, 3rd in the same competition.   
Lisa Whelan came 1st in English singing, u12,  and she, Sarah and Jamie Cantillon were members of the Inis Og u12 group which came 2nd in their competition.   
Eve O'Connor came 1st in fiddle, u12 and 3rd in Harp u12 and Eve and her sister, Lily, are members of the Tulla Band which came 3rd in u12 competition.   Their brother, Tim, is a member of the Tulla Ceili Band 15-18 which won the Band's  competition.  
The death has taken place of Michael Meehan of Ennis, brother of Mrs. Mary Byrt, Ruan.
