On Saturday, 27th May last,  in St. Mary's Church, Ruan, Emily Whelan, Holly O'Loughlin, Aisling Moloney, Leah Ryan, Sinead Hastings, Aimee McDonagh, Kodi Egan, Aoife Anderson, Alan Woodford, Paul Rees, Darragh Meere, Michael Barry and Tom O'Halloran from Toonagh School and Aoife Glass, Kate Forde, Amy Mulqueen, Laura Saunders, Aoife O'Loughlin, Neasa Ni Lachtnain,  Andrew Malone, Colm Howard, Darren Punch and David Droney, from Ruan School, were administered the Sacrament of Confirmation.  The children participated in the ceremony, reading, singing, music and in the Offertory procession, making it a memorable day for them, their families and teachers.

Girls in Final.
The Ruan Camogie team is into the final of the u14C Championship, having come through the competition playing some very competitive games. The girls play Broadford in Wolfe Tones Camogie pitch in Shannon on Wed. 14th June next at 7.30pm and look forward to having the support of the community at the game.

The Zumba classes held in Toonagh hall over the past several months have proven to be such a success, they will continue throughout the summer, so for a fun way to exercise Toonagh Hall at 8pm on Thursday evenings is the place to be!

Hurling Blitz.
Teams from Kilmaley, Barefield, Feakle/Killanena and Tubber played in an u8 Hurling blitz in Ruan on Sat. last. After the games the host Club provided refreshments and everyone had a very enjoyable day.

Lay Led Liturgies.
Anyone interest in learning about Lay Led Liturgies is invited to attend a meeting in Ruan Community Centre on this Thurs. 8th June at 8.00pm, where Maureen Kelly, Pastoral worker with the Diocese of Killaloe will speak on the matter.
