Clay Pigeon Shooting.
 
Four members of Ruan Club, Noel O'Donoghue, Ollie McMahon, Patsy Reidy and Sean O'Donoghue were members of the County team at the N.A.R.G.C. Shoot held in Limerick Racecourse over the weekend, coming 7th in their competition.   There were six members representing the Club at the All Ireland Club Shoot, 
Sean O'Donoghue, Noel O'Donoghue, Ollie McMahon, Patsy Reidy, David Reidy, and Raphael Weeks, while Gabriel Weekes represented Ruan with Clare u21 team.  Tony O'Donoghue came joint third in the Veteran Section.  Ger O'Donoghue is a member of the Irish Clay Pigeon Team, which took part in the D.T.L. competiton in Mid Wales at the weekend, coming second, with the English team winning and the Welsh team coming third.

Munster Fleadh.
 
Fleadh Cheoil na Mumhan 2012 was held in Dungarvan last week, and there were a number of local children taking part.   
Lisa Whelan came 1st in English singing, u12.   Zoe Whelan is a member of the Inis Og  Band which came 2nd in that section.   
Burren came 3rd in u12 group, 3rd in u15 Band and 2nd in u18 Group.   Daire Shannon and Conor O'Loughlin came 1st in u15 Duet and Conor came 2nd in u15 Concertina. Fergal Breen came 2nd in u18 flute.   Barry Heagney and Ross O'Donovan came 3rd in u15 Duet.  
They are now looking forward to the All Ireland which will be held Aug. 17th and 18th in Cavan.

G.A.A.
 
Ruan G.A.A. Club will host the Cul Camp for children from the 20th to 24th August next.   Children interested in camogie and hurling are invited to attend.

Killian Ryan from the local Club is part of the Clare u21 team which reached the Munster Final, having a victory over Waterford.   He and Aidan Lynch are on the panel for the upcoming Munster Intermediate Championship Final.  
The u16 team is improving steadily and had a good win over Sixmilebridge recently.
