Fundraising Walk for Zara.
By now, the plight of ten year old Zara Cronin, from Dysart is well known, having been recently diagnosed with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. She has had special scans in London and is due to have lifesaving surgery in the coming months in Barcelona.  All these treatments will cost up to €100,000 and, to date, funding has not been forthcoming from the Government, although Health Minister, Simon Harris, is due to meet with Zara and her mother, Anne, who has been relentless in fundraising, while at the same time, caring for Zara.
A fundraiser is taking place in Ruan on Saturday, July 21, where members of the Clare Senior Hurling Team will join walkers and runners on a fundraising venture for Zara’s treatment and rehabilitation.
It starts at 10am in Ruan village and there are two routes, 2k and 6k.
