Christmas Concert.
The children of Toonagh School put on a great night’s entertainment for their families to welcome in the Christmas last week. Toonagh Hall was packed to capacity as the children played music, sang, danced and performed sketches. There was a huge raffle, organised by the Parents Association, and those who donated prizes, the teachers and children, and all involved in making the evening so successful, are to be highly commended.

Crafts Group.
The Crafts group which meets in Toonagh Hall on Wednesday mornings has taken a break for Christmas and will return in the New Year. The last day saw members bring samples of their work to show to the senior classes of Toonagh School.  The children were also show how to make Christmas table arrangements, which they went on to make for themselves on Wednesday afternoon, and showed great talent and imagination in their creations.

Successful Fundraiser.
The Bric a Brac sale held in Ruan Community Centre recently raised over €2,000 for the Tidy Towns and Graveyard Group.  This will be used to provide grass cutting equipment to keep the village and graveyards trim and neat.
The contributions of all who donated articles for the sale, and those who supported the fundraiser in any way, is much appreciated
