Underage Hurling.
Glowing tributes were paid to Flan Lyons, who vacated the position of Ruan Minor Club Secretary, after eight years in office.
In the Chairman's address, Donal O'hAinifein complimented Flan for the great work he has done for underage hurling in the Club during that time.
He will be succeeded by Claire McDonagh and she was wished well by everyone present.
Outgoing P.R.O., Susan Rice, was also complimented for her work in that role over the past five years.
Officers elected for the coming year were - Chairperson, Donal O'hAinifein; Vice. Chairperson, John Punch;  Sec., Claire McDonagh;
Ass. Sec. Flan Lyons;  P.R.O's, Gearoid Roughan and Geraldine Cahir;  Registrar, Paul Howard;  Coaching Officer, Francis O'Halloran;
Child Protection Officer, Gerry Heagney.
Parish Christmas Cards.
Parish Christmas Cards and Mass Cards will be available in both churches after Masses on this coming Sunday, 8th Dec.
The Christmas cards feature a painting of St. Mary's Church, Ruan, and have proved especially popular with people who send them to family and friends abroad.
Christmas Party
The Senior Citizens Christmas Party will be held at Morty Kelly's  on this Sun. 8th Dec., when the meal will be served up at 2p.m., and this will be followed by entertainment provided by local singers, musicians and dancers.
All Senior Citizens will be very welcome.
Due to a poorly attended A.G.M. last week, which resulted in failure to elect a new committee, a reconvened A.G.M. will now take place on this Sat. 7th Dec., in Ruan Community Centre at 8p.m.  If this meeting fails to elect a new committee, regrettably there will be no option but to disband the club.  Anyone who is not currently involved in the club, but who might like to be, in the future, will be welcome.
A special invitation is also issued to parents and families of the girls who play camogie to come along.
