A Day in the Park.
A group of young hurlers from the under 12 panel of the local Hurling club, with some of their mentors and a number of parents, travelled to Croke Park in Dublin on Friday last. They had been drawn to play in three games as part of the Go Games Provincial days.  Twenty four Clubs were represented on the day, and Ruan played St. Mary’s from Waterford, Youghal from Cork and Carrick Davins from Tipperary.
They also had a tour of the Stadium and Museum and were delighted with their day out.

Recent Deaths.
The death has taken place of Sr. Ailbe Morgan, Convent of Mercy, Tipperary Town and formerly of Dysart. She is survived by her brother Jim Joe, sister Margaret and extended family and friends.
The death has also occurred of Anna McGowan, née Galvin, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon, sister of Ger Galvin,  Ranahan, Ruan.

Boirne Youth Connect Activities.
Last Thursday, 26 teenagers from our Cluster (Ruan) went on a Retreat to Donegal for two days with the Net Ministries. This Retreat involved Surfing on Rossnowlagh beach each day.
NET stands for National Evangelisation Teams. These teams are young missionaries who share the gospel message with Youth in schools/parishes across Ireland. The retreat experience was structured to meet the needs of this age group and they thoroughly enjoyed their time in Donegal.
On Friday April 13,  in Ruan Community Centre, the BYC youth group will attend a  presentation about the Missionvale project in South Africa, by Fr. Donough O'Meara and local volunteer, John O'Sullivan.  All youths in the cluster are welcome to attend.

Craft Morning.
The Craft mornings in Toonagh Hall have resumed after the Easter break, and anyone who would like to attend to learn about knitting, crochet, sewing, or even to enjoy a chat over a ‘cuppa’ would be most welcome.
