Camogie.

The Ruan u14 team got their u14 campaign off to a winning start last Wed. 2nd April, when they recorded a win over Eire Og.  Whilst the scoreline of 5-3 to 4-2 depicts a close game, Ruan led for all the game, and it was only in the dying minutes that Eire Og managed to snatch a few late goals.  Ruan used all their substitutes and had scores from Sinead Mullins, Amy O'Donoghue, Sarah O'Donoghue and Shannon O'Donovan.  All the girls acquitted themselves very well and look forward to their next game against Broadford.

Kitchen Sessions Concert.

Denise Whelan hosted a great night's entertainment in Cois na hAbhna on Sat. night last at the Kitchen Sessions Variety Concert, in aid of storm damage repairs to Toonagh Hall.  The audience was treated to a feast of traditional music, singing and dancing from the children (and some parents) who've been attending the Sessions since last September.
The support of all who helped in any way is greatly appreciated by the Hall Committee.

Claire at Singers Club.

The Ennis Singers Club will hold its April session at The Grove Bar in Roslevan on this Fri. 11th April at 9.30p.m.
Claire McDonnell, from Dysart, a talented singer, is guest on the night.

Toonagh Hall Fundraising Raffle.

Promoters of the latest fundraiser for repairs to Toonagh Hall and Sports Complex will shortly visit each house in the parish, selling raffle tickets for a Monster Midsummer Draw which will take place in Toonagh on June 21st next.  Further details will follow in next week's edition, and it is hoped the community will show its support, as the closure of the Hall and Complex since the 18th Dec. last,  is a huge loss to the whole parish.
