Pilgrim Path.
A large group walked the pilgrim path of Clare as part of Ireland's National Pilgrim Paths Day, over Easter weekend. The route took walkers to St. Tola's 8th century hermitage in Dysart from St. Blathmac's church in Rath, taking in the ancient roadway, Bealach Arsa, the present day Dysart Church, the holy well or Tobar Oireachta with which St. Tola is associated.
They continued to St. Tola's Diseart, Hermitage, where the famous Romanesque doorway is still clearly seen.
In the field beside the graveyard they took in the 12th century High Cross and returned to the castle of Dysert O'Dea where they had parked.

Easter Ceremonies.

Large crowds attended the Easter ceremonies in both churches over the weekend.
The Dawn Mass in Dysert  graveyard was a special celebration and those present felt very privileged to hear The Dawn Chorus as the birds awoke and joined with the choir as dawn broke.
