Drama Society A.G.M.
Now that this year's production of I Do Not Like Thee Dr. Fell has been done and dusted, and enjoyed by all who went to see it, the Group is focusing on next year.   The A.G.M. will be held on next Tue. night, 3rd May, in Ruan Community Centre at 9.00p.m.  Anyone who feels they would like to be a part of the Society - back stage, on stage or front of house, etc. will be welcome.   The Society thanks all who supported this year's production, it is much appreciated.
Recent Deaths.
The death took place last week, unexpectedly, of Michael Keating of Driminshin, Dysart.   Michael was a taxi Driver for many years, and was very popular and well known for his obliging and friendly nature.   His remains were removed from Kennedy's Funeral Home to St. Tola's Church, Dysart, and cremation took place following a funeral service on Good Friday.   Mass for the repose of his soul was celebrated on Easter Sunday in Dysart.   Michael is survived by his sisters, Mary (Murphy), Ennis, Teresa (O'Grady), Tuamgraney, Anne (Croffey), Dublin, brother, Patrick, Ahasla, Maurice's Mills, nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.
The death also took place recently of Mrs. Lena Falvey, Kilkee Lower, Kilkee, mother of Mary Casey, Rineen, Ruan.
Camogie News.
Claire McDonnell and Alice Casey were members of the Minor Panel which beat Cork in the Munster Camogie Final which was held in  Mallow on Sunday on a scoreline of 2-9 to 2-7.
May Devotions.
The Rosary will be recited every evening for the month of May at Our Lady's Grotto in Fountain.   All are welcome to take a few minutes out of the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Alzheimer's Tea Day.
The organisers of the Alzheimer's Tea Day are looking forward to the Community's support when they hold the Tea Day on Thursday next, 5th May, in Toonagh Hall and Ruan Community Centre, 9.30a.m. to 12.30p.m. in both venues.
Cake Sale for Pre-school.
In a fundraising effort for Ruan Playschool, Afterschool and Parent & Toddler Group, a Cake Sale and Raffle will be held on Sunday, May 8th next, after Mass in Ruan.   Anyone wishing to donate baking will be most welcome.
