Toonagh Community Centre: Draw for Hall Funds:  In the next few weeks, people will visit every house in the parish selling tickets for a draw which will be held on June 21st next.  The Midsummer Monster Draw top prize is €1,500 Cash: 2nd to 6th prizes are hotel breaks; 7th to 11th freezer ready fat lambs; 12th to 16th home heating bundle; 17th to 21st meals for two. Sponsors are Ryan Bros.(Ennis) Toonagh; Armada and Doolin Hotels, Treacy’s West Co. Hotel; Paul Rees; Frank & Teresa Custy; Pat Neylon: Anthony Roughan; Ml Lynch, Eoin Barry, Pat Foudy & Daughter, Dan McInerney’s; Galvin Bros; The Grove; Templegate Hotel; Auburn Lodge Hotel; Bofey Quinns, McCullough Fuels & Liddy’s Gala, Mill Rd. Tickets are €30 each or 2 for €50. Alzheimer's Tea Day: Thanks to all who supported the Alzheimer's Tea Day which, this year, was the 20th annual Alzheimer’s Tea Day.  It was only held in Ruan Community Centre, due to the closure of Toonagh Hall.  €400 was raised on the day.

Ruan Tidy Village:  Meeting at Morty Kellys at 9 pm on Tuesday 6th May to discuss projects for the coming year. Everybody welcome.

Rosary in Ruan Church each evening at 8.00 pm for the month of May

Grotto at Fountain:  All are invited to Fountain Grotto where the Rosary will be recited every evening at 8.30 pm for the month of May.

DARKNESS INTO LIGHT - ENNIS WALK: - Darkness into Light is the flagship fundraising and awareness event for Pieta House. This year's walk takes place from Ennis Courthouse on May 10th 

Registration for the walk will take place after 6:30 pm Mass on Saturday 3rd May in Dysart and after 10 am Mass on Sunday 4th May in Ruan 


Camogie News

Calling All Clare Hurling and Camogie Fans! Clare Senior Camogie Team take on Kilkenny today 4th May in the National Division 1 League Final @ 1.30. Please support this team as they have overcome Galway and Cork to reach this final and are hungry to bring more silverware home to the Banner County. Brid McNamara will be on air on Clare FM as analyst and commentator for all those who are unable to travel to this historic game. Ruan Minor Club

U 14: Ruan U 14 C team had a good 3-10 to 1-7 win over Parteen/Meelick on Monday in Parteen. Ruan/Corofin U 14 A team had a great start to the championship with a 4-13 to 3-10 win over Doora Barefield in Gurteen. Upcoming fixtures, U 14 C: Ruan v Ennistymon away on this Sunday and next weekend Ruan v O'Callaghans Mills in Ruan. U 14 A Ruan/Corofin v Kilmaley Friday next May 9th at home. 

See Clare Champion for times and dates. U 8: This group of young hurlers played their second blitz of the year in the Banner GAA Ennis on Saturday last. 20 players from Ruan had a great morning hurling and learning the skills of the game.
