SPRING 2011 BEREAVEMENT TALKS:  Cork city:  Wednesday 4th May in Silver Springs Conference Centre, Tivoli, Cork @ 7.30pm

TROCAIRE:  If you have not contributed to the Trocaire collection you can still do so.

THE TEA DAY FOR ALZHEIMERS:  will be held on Thursday May 5th in Toonagh Hall and Ruan Community Centre from 9.30am to 12.30pm.  We would welcome your support.

MAY DEVOTIONS:  The Rosary will be recited every evening in May @ 8.30pm.


DRAMA SOCIETY:  now that this year’s play has been aired and enjoyed by both cast and its audience, the Group is focusing on next year.  The AGM will be held on Tuesday night 3rd May in Ruan Community Centre @ 9.00pm.  

Anyone who would like to be part of the Group, in any capacity, back stage, on stage, front of house, etc. is welcome.

Bring suitable walking gear and a light snack.  This is a fundraiser for Clare Cancer 250 mile cycling team.  Promoted by Dermot Ryan 086 0810291.

CAMOGIE NEWS;  Congratulations to Clare Minor Camogie Team who won the Munster Final, in particular to Alice Casey and Claire McDonnell who were on the panel.  Well done to Rebecca Crowe who was on Clare U-16 team that lost to Kilkenny in the All Ireland championship.  Our U-14 team continue to do well in the championship beating Bodyke on Wednesday last, and playing Parteen this Wednesday 27th April.

RUAN FIELD DAY:  Will take place on Sunday May 8th commencing at 12.30.  The activities include obstacle races, penalty shoot outs, target shooting, sponge throwing, and many other activities for all the family.  There will be a tug-o-war competition for parishioners.  Be part of a team to represent your area, so get your boots ready and start practising.  Shop, BBQ on site all day.  Cake sale at 1.00pm, so Ladies get baking.  

Meeting in Ruan Hall on Tue 3rd May.  Will all those helping on the day please attend.
