Thought for the Week:

When children seek attention, affection, encouragement and unconditional love, they are not asking for exorbitant gifts.   These are the staples of their soul.       (Barbara Farmer)

Ruan Gymkhana:    The annual gymkhana will take place on Sun. June 8th next and it will host seven qualifiers for National Championships in showjumping on the day.   In conjunction with the Gymkhana a Family Fun Day will take place at the same venue as a fundraiser for repairs to Toonagh Hall.   Among the activities on offer will be a cake sale, "guess the weight of the bull", face and nail painting, wellie throwing, children's fancy dress competition and more fun and games.  The organisers will spare no efforts to make this a fun-filled afternoon, and it is hoped the community will support the event.

Safeguarding:  I would like to express my thanks to the Parishes for their support and hard work in the area of Safeguarding.  We had an excellent report from the National Board, the 4 recommendations were in relation to policies and all have since been fully met.  Cleo Yates, Director of Safeguarding.
