TRÓCAIRE: WEEK SIX (SUNDAY 24.03.13)This Palm Sunday, Trócaire is asking us to pray for the many brave human rights defenders, community organisations and local leaders who face persecution around the world for trying to improve the lives of their neighbours. Trócaire asks us to continue to speak out on global injustices and to act in solidarity with vulnerable communities overseas.

GARDA VETTING FORMS: It would be appreciated if the Garda Vetting Forms distributed recently to Parish Voluntary Workers would be completed and returned to Fr O’Neill as soon as possible.

RUAN SHAVE OR DYE in aid of Cancer Research is taking place on Sunday 31st March at 7 00 pm in Purcells Bar. Music, Finger food and Spot prizes on the night – a good night, not to be missed.

APOSTOLIC SOCIETY: Ruan Dysart Apostolic Society is holding their annual display of work on Sunday 7th April in Ruan Community Centre. Anyone who would like to donate a sacred vessel to the missions in memory of a loved one can do so by contacting Eileen Roughan, Eileen Hannon or Mary Marrinan.

RUAN DRAMATIC SOCIETY: perform "The Highest House on the Mountain" by J.B. Keane on Good Friday and Easter Sunday in the Ruan Community Centre. Curtains up at 8.30 pm on both nights.

AGEING WITH CONFIDENCE: Clare Local Development is running a course for men and women over 50, in Ruan Community Centre, beginning on Thurs. 4th April, from 10.00 am to 12 noon, which will continue for 8 weeks.  This is a holistic approach to physical, psychological and mental well-being.  As the course is filling up, anyone wishing to enrol should contact Mary at 6837989 or Maureen at 6841768 before Sun. Mar. 31st.

KITCHEN SESSIONS VARIETY CONCERT - this concert was a great success, with the funds raised divided between Ruan Senior Citizens, Clarecastle Daycare Centre and Carrigoran Nursing Home, and the remainder will be used to tile the toilets in the hall when a radiator has been installed in each one.  Thanks to all who helped out with baking, serving teas, spot prizes and all the talent which was displayed on the night.
