Invitation to Attend Opening Windows Conference:  Two Parisioners are invited to attend a conference, reliving Vatican 11, to be held at the Clare Inn Hotel, Newmarket-on-Ferguson Saturday 23rd March  - 9:45 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.  Bishop Kieran, Julie Kavanagh, Aoife McGrath, Fr Liam Lawton and Fr Dermot Ryan will share insights on key themes from the Second Vatican Council. The conference is free of charge and lunch will be provided.  Registration forms are available from Fr O’Neill.

Youth Helpers: - Killaloe Diocesan Pilgrimage To Lourdes: Wednesday 26th June to Monday 1st July 2013.  If any young person in Senior Cycle Year in school (Transition or non-exam) would like to go to Lourdes as a helper on the Killaloe Diocesan Pilgrimage Please contact Fr. O’Neill immediately.

AGEING WITH CONFIDENCE: This is an 8 week, 2 hour programme run by Clare Local Development for men and women over 50. It is a holistic approach to physical, psychological and mental well being. 10 participants are needed to run the programme in Ruan. More information from Mary O’Donnell at 6837989 or from 6841768

Fundraiser for Ruan United: Ruan United Football Club is hosting a Bingo Night at Purcell's Bar, Ruan on Fri. 15th March at 9.00 pm, as a fundraiser for the Club.   A great night's "craic" is assured, and your support will be welcome.

Set dancing continues in Ruan on Tuesday night at 9 pm, the session also includes social dancing, waltzing and jiving. All newcomers and regulars welcome.

Kitchen Sessions Variety Concert will be held in Toonagh Hall, Fri. 15th March, 7 00 pm - a feast of singing, music, lilting, sean-nos - step - brush - set-dancing. Proceeds will be divided between Ruan Senior Citizens, Clarecastle Daycare Centre and Carrigoran Nursing Home.  Adm. Adults €5, children free.  Refreshments served and a raffle will  be held.  All welcome.

The crochet, knitting and embroidery classes held in Toonagh over the winter proved a resounding success.  The ladies with experience passed on their knowledge and tips to the willing learners and a lot of lovely pieces were completed with more currently being worked on.  Classes end next Wed. night at 7.30, and hopefully, will return in the autumn.
