Recent Death.

The death occurred last week of Patsy Meaney of Kincora Park, Ennis and formerly of Ruan, in St. Joseph's Hospital, at the age of 83.
Patsy had been a resident of St. Josephs for the past seven years, as he suffered from Alzheimers.  He was from a family in Nooan, Ruan, that is noted for their love of singing and dancing and when he attended Clarecastle Daycare Centre, the patrons loved to hear him sing.
In his younger days, Patsy hurled with Ruan and won a Minor Medal with Clare, however, his hurling days were cut short when he left to work in England.
On his return, he worked for many years in De Beers factory in Shannon as a Fitter/Turner.  His neighbours in Kincora Park held him in great esteem for his neighbourliness.   Patsy was predeceased by his wife, Lily, 18 years ago.
Patsy's remains were removed from Kennedy's Funeral Home, Ennis, to Ruan Church and following concelebrated Requiem Mass, he was laid to rest in the adjoining graveyard.   He is survived by his sons Archie and Robert, daughters, Carol and Lorraine, grandchildren, his sisters, Mary Ann Casey and Bridie Morgan, brother Tony, extended family and friends.
