Cumann na mBunscol.
Girls from 4th, 5th & 6th classes in Toonagh School participated in Cumann in mBunscol football mini sevens football in Kilfenora last week, winning against Kilfenora, and losing to Miltown. They also played in the same competition, in camogie, in Ruan. Inch won on the day and Ruan and Toonagh schools drew.
The boys fromToonagh School played Ennis Gaelscoil in the football mini sevens on Monday of this week (that's today so I have no results from that, so if u just want to say they played & I'll have results next week?).

Memorial Mass.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated for the late Michael Finucane, of St. Alban's, Herts., England, where burial has taken place in St. Tola's Church, Dysart on Sat. eve, 19th March at 6.30pm (Palm Sunday Eve.)
Michael was a brother of Mattie Finucane of Ballybrody.

Basketball.
Emma Cantillon and Aoife Meere, two past pupils of Toonagh N.S. are on the Basketball team of Colaiste Muire which has qualified for the regional finals of the second year's regional finals to be held in Ballybunion after Easter.
They played basketball for Toonagh School and had success in the Marian Keane Memorial Basketball tournament during their time in Toonagh.

On Thursday of last week, for the first time ever, there was a sufficient numbers of boys in Toonagh school to make up a boy's basketball team, and they won all three of their games in this year's tournament, which were held in Corofin G.A.A. Hall.
The girls have also played, and won, the first round of the tournament and both teams are now through to the quarter finals which will be played after Easter.

Recent Deaths.
The death has taken place of Laura Winters, niece of Teresa Cullinan, Ballytigue, Ruan and Frank Kelly, Tarmon, Gort, son of Nonie Cullinan formerly of Ballygriffey, Ruan  and nephew of Ita Cullinan, Derula, Fountain and the late Kitty Purcell, Ruan.
