Bishop Kieran O'Reilly paid his first official visit to St. Tola's Church, Dysart on Friday last when he confirmed fourteen children from Toonagh and Ruan National Schools.   Sean Tierney, Dylan Lynch,, Colin Haugh, Ciaran O'Toole, Cathal Saunders, Conor Wynne, Shauna Greene and Sean Crowe were the children from Ruan School, while Emma Corcoran, Cliodhna Hynes, Caoimhe Roughan,, David Dyksy, Mark Haran and Zoe Whelan attend Toonagh School.   It was a very special occasion for the children, who took part in readings, prayers, music and singing, and they were a credit to their parents and teachers.   After the ceremony, high tea was served up in Toonagh Hall by the Parents Association of Toonagh School, and it was a day to remember for all who attended the celebrations.
St. Patrick's Day Celebrations.
St. Patrick's Day, in Dysart, was marked with a special Mass at which the community joined in a celebration of our culture, with readings in Irish, traditional dancing, music and singing, in honour of our Patron Saint.
Friends of Toonagh Concert.
Plans are at an advanced stage for the Concert in Toonagh Hall on Thurs. 29th March next, at 8.00 p.m. sharp, which will bring to the stage a wealth of talent.   There will be traditional music, singing, Irish Dancing, Brush and Sean Nos Dancing, featuring Fiona Lyons, Kitchen Session Group, Siobhan Peoples, Bernie Whelan, P.J. King, Bane Sisters, Breen Family, Claire McDonnell, John O'Sullivan, Kevin Finucane, Frank Custy & Friends, Tony Cullinan, to name but a few.  There will be a prize of a hamper on the door ticket and a raffle.   Denise Whelan will be M.C.  on the night, and a great nights entertainment is promised.   Funds go towards the upkeep of the Hall and Sports Complex in Toonagh.
Apostolic Society Display.
The members of the Parish Apostolic Society have been busy over the winter, and their work, including Vestments, Altar Cloths, Rosary Beads, knitted and crotchet items,  will be on Display in Ruan Community Centre on next Sun. 25th March, beginning immediately after 11.15a.m. 
Mass and continuing until 5.00p.m.   All visitors to the Display are invited to tea and refreshments, and the support of the Community will be greatly appreciated, as it supports the foreign missions.

Minor G.A.A. Club Registration.
Players and their parents are asked to attend the official registration night on Sat. 24th March, at 8.00p.m. in Toonagh Hall.   Details of training times, venues and meetings with mentors will take place.   Refreshments will be served.
