LOURDES DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE:  Bishop Kieran O’Reilly SMA will lead this year’s Diocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes from June 26th to 1st July.  At €670 it is the cheapest Diocesan pilgrimage price out of Ireland in this the Centenary year of the First Irish pilgrimage to Lourdes in 1913. FRANCISCAN MISSIONARY SISTERS FOR AFRICA: Sr Eunice Quigley, a Franciscan Missionary Sister for Africa who has worked in Africa fro many years will speak at Masses on Sunday 16th June. She will give first hand information on the spreading of the Good News in the African countries in which the Sisters work. You will have an opportunity to participate in this work by your prayer and financial contributions.

RUN FOR READING Scoil Mhuire Ruan is hosting a 6km Run on Thursday June 20th starting at 7 pm from the school.  You may Race, Run, Jog or Walk, (buggies also welcome).  Entry Fee €10 per person or €20 per family. All funds will go to support new reading programmes in the school. Registration in school from 6 pm - 6.45 pm.  Refreshments afterwards in school hall.

LITTER PICK: A litter pick has been arranged for Tuesday and Wednesday evenings next 11th & 12th June.  Meet at Morty Kelly’s bar at 7 o’clock.  Light refreshments will be served afterwards.  Please support this effort to make Ruan a cleaner village.

ALZHEIMER'S TEA DAY: Thanks to all who supported the recent Alzheimer's Tea Day in Toonagh Hall where €530.72 was raised and Ruan Community Centre where €230 was raised.  The work of all who baked, donated refreshments, helped out on the day and who supported it financially is very much appreciated. The Dementia Specific Day Care Centre in Ennis currently has vacancies for clients, with Specialist Activity Programme tailored towards clients' interests, skills, experiences and personalities.
