YOUTH 2000 SUMMER FESTIVAL, Cistercian College, Roscrea, Co. Tipperary from Thursday 15th – Sunday 18th August 2013.  For young people aged 16-35, an opportunity not to be missed to experience the Catholic faith and meet many new people.  This Festival has been nicknamed the “Holy Oxygen” with over 1000 young people from all corners of Ireland attending last year. DYSART O'DEA CASTLE: Looking to spend a Sunday afternoon just 5 mins drive from Ruan, why not visit Dysart O'Dea Castle, walk some or all of the 6km Archaeology Trail and enjoy the tea rooms. Open daily 10 am to 6 pm and remember the walking is free

SAMARITANS: The Ennis and Clare Branch of the Samaritans are holding their Church Gate collection in Ruan & Dysart on Sunday 21st July 2013.  The Samaritans offer confidential support to those who are suicidal, despairing or passing through crises in their lives. The support is available on our telephone helpline at our Centre in Ennis. The Church Gate collections are our most important means of fund-raising and are vital to the continuation or our work.

CLARECASTLE CONCERT: “Folk the Recession” featuring Brendan Begley, Eleanor Shanley, Mike Hanrahan, Frankie Lane & Paul Kelly will play a Concert to open the Céilí at the Crossroads Festival in Clarecastle on Sunday 14th July, 2013 @ 8.00 p.m. in the Abbey Hall, Clarecastle.  Tickets €15 - Custys Music Shop/on door.   Proceeds to District Daycare Centre, Clarecastle.

Ruan Senior Team scored a fully merited three point victory over Kilmaley last weekend to guarantee their Clare Cup status for 2014. This was a fine team display, with Michael Vaughan notching 0-8; meanwhile our juniors have topped their league section, and play Sixmilebridge in the opening round this weekend. Your continued support is much appreciated.  

Cul Camps start this Monday July 15th, from 10 am to 2.30 pm daily, registration on first morning.

Ruan Minor Club News
Ruan Hurling Club is hosting Cul Camp from Monday 15th July to Friday 19th July. It will take place from 10 am to 2 30 pm each day at Ruan Pitch. Further details available from underage mentors.
Ruan/Corofin under 16s had a good win over Scariff/Ogonello on Sunday last with a score of 2-24 to 1-08. 

They meet Eire Og next Sunday at 7 pm in Ruan Pitch.
Ruan U 12 hurlers had a good win over Parteen 4-7 to 1-2 and they play the last round of league in Ruan on Sunday evening.
