Next Baptism Course: Crusheen on Saturday 14th January from 11:00 am to 12 Noon. 

All people intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal course before each child is baptised  


Baptismal Ceremony in 2017:  From January 2017 onwards Baptisms will take place on the Second of the Month in each Parish in the Imeall Bóirne Cluster at 12:30 pm.  Ruan and Dysart will alternate each month.  If there are children, in this parish, to be baptised in January, the ceremony will take place in Ruan on Sunday 15th January at 12:30 and if there are baptisms in this parish in February, the ceremony will be on Sunday 12th February in Dysart Church at 12:30.  A full list of the dates for Baptisms in the Imeall Bóirne Cluster is on the notice boards at the back of the churches. 

Please Note:  All people intending to have children baptised must complete a baptismal course before each child is baptised. Details of the monthly Baptismal Courses can be seen in the weekly Parish Newsletters.

January 8th is International Awareness Day for Human Trafficking. Human trafficking is one of the world's most shameful ills-a heartless violation of human rights in which lives are traded, sold, exploited, abused and ruined. We invite you to pray for the victims of this crime and to keep yourself informed of events and happenings in this important area of human rights.

Open Invitation to a talk by Christy Kenneally on “Life after Suicide” at the Temple Gate Hotel, Ennis on Tuesday January 17th at 7.30 p.m. Christy Kenneally is well known for his work in the area of bereavement. The talk is sponsored by Clare Suicide Bereavement Support

Ennis And Clare Branch of the Samaritans are holding Information Sessions at 7.30 p.m. to 10.00 p.m. on Tues. 10th & Thurs 12th January 2017 at Sunville, Kilrush Rd., Ennis for people who are interested in joining Samaritans.  No formal qualifications or specialised experience are required - anybody (18 years old and over) can become a Volunteer.

Diocesan Pilgrimage to Fatima and St. Anthony’s Shrine:  The Killaloe Diocese is organising a once off pilgrimage to Fatima for the Centenary Year 2017 and a visit to the shrine of St. Anthony in Lisbon.  The pilgrimage will be direct from Shannon Airport on Easter Monday 17th April, returning Friday 21st April. Next Year 2107 is the centenary Year of the apparitions in Fatima Portugal and Pope Francis announced during the week that he will go on pilgrimage to the shrine in May.
