Next Baptism Course: Crusheen on Saturday 16th January from 11:00 am to 12 Noon. All people intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal course before each child is baptised. Mass Card Donations: All Money received for Mass Card Donations is divided between the Foreign Missions and Faith Development in the Parish. Please use the Mass Donation envelope provided and place it in the collection basket, at times the cost of the Mass Cards seems to be greater that the donations received. Missionvale Church Gate Collection: The volunteers are due to depart for Missionvale on Jan 23rd next. This year there are twenty five people going and the main job will be to extend and improve the water collection project which has proved to be of tremendous benefit to the community. So as to help with funding for this project there will be a church gate collection taken up before both masses in Ruan& Dysart on Christmas Eve Dec 24th. Any support would be greatly appreciated. Fundraiser for Jack & Jill Foundation – Aileen Lyons and Rita Kitson are currently doing a fundraiser for Jack and Jill Foundation. They are selling hand crocheted Christmas snowflakes in little gift bags @ €4.00 each and all proceeds will go to this worthwhile cause. All support would be gratefully appreciated. Contact 0876400499. The Wren: Ruan Camogie Club will once again be out on 26th December 2015 from 12 noon to 2 pm in the parish hunting the wren. Camogie players, musicians and parents are welcome to join us for an afternoon of meeting and greeting our fellow parishioners as a fund raising event for the club. We have 2 meeting points Ruan National School and Toonagh National School at 12 noon, depending on weather conditions. Tin whistles and Song are always winners. The highlights this year were the good numbers attending training in the younger ages from U6 to U12, reaching the All Ireland U14 Féile semi-final and winning the U13 championship after a great final vs Broadford. This is a fundraiser for the Minor Club and your support would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Ruan U6s and U8s had their Christmas Party last Monday evening in Toonagh Hall.
