Next Baptism Course: Ruan on Saturday 19th December from 11:00 am to 12 Noon. 

All people intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal course before each child is baptised.

Recent Baptism: We welcome into our Community Patrick Óg Damien Keegan son of Patrick and Kayleigh who was baptised recently.

Senior Citizens Christmas Party: The annual senior citizens Christmas party will be held at Morty Kelly’s today Sunday 13th December.  Dinner will be served at 2 p.m. followed by music and dancing. All parishioners and friends welcome.


Missionvale Church Gate Collection:  The volunteers are due to depart for Missionvale on Jan 23rd next. This year there are twenty five people going and the main job will be to extend and improve the water collection project which has proved to be of tremendous benefit to the community. So as to help with funding for this project there will be a church gate collection taken up before both masses in Ruan & Dysart on Christmas Eve Dec 24th. Toonagh Hall & Sports Complex is, once again, up and running and bookings are being taken from anyone wishing to use the facilities by contacting Eoghan @ 0838125591. A meeting will be held on Thursday night next, 17th December in the hall at 8pm, and anyone interested, or with ideas for the centre, is welcome

Youth 2000 invites all young adults between ages of 16-35 to a Catholic weekend retreat taking place from 18th-20thDecember 2015 at Newbridge College, Co. Kildare  This will be an exciting weekend attracting over 600 young people from all over the country.

The weekend is being organised by young people for young people. Parental consent is essential for all those under 18.
