Change to Christmas Masses Schedule

At the recent meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council it was decided to change the Christmas Mass Schedule for the parish as follows:
Christmas Eve Sunday 24th December — Ruan at 10:00 am / Dysart at 8:00 pm
Christmas Day Monday 25th December — Ruan at 10:00 am

Eucharistic Adoration:       Ruan:   Wednesdays - Hourly from 3pm to 7pm

                                                       Dysart:  Thursdays - Hourly from 10am to 1pm


Weekly Collections:     € 1,917.77  Thank you very much for your contributions.

New Years Eve Shindig!! 

Tony and Pamela O'Malley, Ardcarney, Ruan have organised a "New Years Eve Shindig", in the Lady Gregory Hotel Gort on Dec 31st In Aid Of The Irish Cancer
Society, in appreciation for all they have done for Tony, Pamela and their family during his illness. There will be a band, DJ, Spot prizes and food on the night.

Advent Tree
There is a basket with cards available in Dysart church on which we invite you to write the name of someone we will keep in our thoughts and prayers at this time
or your own special intentions and hang it on the Advent Tree. These will be removed at Christmas Day Mass and form part of the Offertory Procession.

Zumba classes have resumed in Toonagh Hall on Thursday nights at 8.15pm. These classes were very popular last year as a fun way to keep fit and all are welcome.


Baptism Preparation Meeting will take place on Saturday 9th December from 11am to 12noon in Ruan Church Sacristy Baptisms in the Imeall Boirne Parishes:
Baptisms take place each Sunday of the Month at 12:30pm rotating between all the churches within each parish as follows to year end:
Rath 17th and also Boston 17th December.
All people intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal preparation course before each child is baptised.

Toonagh National School Concert
Toonagh National School hosted their annual Christmas Concert on Thursday last 7th December. A great night was had by all the children, their parents, grandparents and families. Well done to all the pupils who took part.
