Fourth Sun of Advent  On this, our last Sunday before Christmas, we light our final candle.   We know that Christ's coming is very near.   This last purple candle represents us. Lord, we pray that you, the Light of the world, will come into each of our hearts.  May the light of your love touch the hearts of all those we meet.   We ask this through Christ our Lord, Amen. Let us acknowledge and pray for those, who for one reason or another, will not be “with us” this Christmas. Perhaps you know a loved one who has emigrated, passed away, someone suffering mental health difficulties, a hospital patient, someone suffering addiction, or Alzheimer’s disease? If you would like to remember them, please take a card from the basket, put the name on it and hang it on the Advent Tree. The cards hanging on the Advent Tree will form part of the Offertory Procession at the Vigil Mass on Christmas Eve.

Readers Required: If anybody is interested in doing Readings or Prayers of the Faithful, please give your name to either Fr O’Neill or Rose Foudy. Rose’s number is 0870610212 and Fr O’Neill’s is 0862612124

Toonagh Hall Activities: The Kitchen Sessions have now finished until the New Year, when it is hoped all those who enjoyed them over the past few months will return, and indeed, more will join us for the music, singing and dancing. There has also been great crocheting, knitting and embroidery in the hall over the winter months, and these classes are also over until the New Year. Thanks to all who supported both activities, as the money raised has gone towards insurance, heating and lighting in the hall. Looking forward to seeing everyone back having enjoyed a Happy and peaceful Christmas.
