New Bishop Appointed:  Fr Fintan Monahan for the Tuam Diocese has been appointed Bishop of Killaloe and we welcome him to the Diocese.


Recent Baptisms: We welcome into our Community Ewan James Courtney, son of Aidan and Valerie who was baptised recently.


No Exercise Classes:  There are no Fitness 4 Fun Classes with John Conroy in Ruan Community Centre on Wednesday 10th August.

Tea/Coffee Morning continues every Tuesday Morning in Ruan Community Centre at 10:00 am. All are welcome.

Samaritans Ennis & Clare branch gratefully acknowledge €142.20 collected in Dysart and €141.18 collected in Ruan at the recent church gate collections.  All the work that we do at Samaritans is carried out by volunteers who give their time to provide confidential emotional support to callers. We rely entirely on voluntary donations to finance the operation of the branch so that we can reach out to people who need such support. We are very grateful for this generous donation from the people of Dysart and Ruan. It will be put to good use in helping us to provide the 24 Hour a Day/ Seven Days a week service that is vital to so many people, particularly during these difficult times.

Music Ministry Together is hosting concert of Liam Lawton on Friday 19th August at 8pm in Cistercian College Roscrea. Tickets are €15 and are available from the Guesthouse, Mt St Joseph (0505) 25600 or  Music Ministry Together is a summer school for those who sing and play in their parishes.  Musicians and Singers alike: Come Participate in Music Ministry Together (MMT) from 16th - 21st August. Killaloe Autumn Pilgrimage to Lourdes:  The autumn pilgrimage from the Killaloe Diocese to Lourdes will leave Shannon Airport on Sunday 2nd October returning on Friday 7th October.  Fare €667 per person sharing with €10 discount for online bookings. Milford Hospice annual Harvest Fair celebrates its 31st anniversary and is scheduled for Sunday 14th August at the University of Limerick. There will be a fun filled programme of activities and entertainment. Items such as plants, bottles for the bottle stall and homemade cakes along with new items for the Wheel of Fortune will be accepted on the day only. All other goods such as toys, fancy goods and books are being accepted at the Hospice from the 2nd August 2016. For further details please contact the Fundraising Office on 061 485859

Ruan Hurling/Camogie club are hosting camp for all primary school players commencing 23rd August 2016. In order to continue this camp going forward the clubs have agreed to hold a fundraising dance in Purcells Bar with Break Free Band kindly sponsored by Kieran and Loretta on 27th August 2016. Tickets €5 - are on sale. The Club appreciates and welcomes the continued support from the Parish to our Clubs activities.
