DARKNESS INTO LIGHT - ENNIS WALK: - Darkness into Light is the flagship fundraising and awareness event for Pieta House. This year's walk takes place from Ennis Courthouse on May 10th 

Registration for the walk will take place after 6:30 pm Mass on Saturday 3rd May in Dysart and after 10 am Mass on Sunday 4th May in Ruan

Alzheimers Tea Day. This year is the 40th Anniversary of the Alzheimers Tea Day, and this parish has, over the years, supported this worthy cause by hosting tea days, however, this year, due to the closure of Toonagh Hall, it will only be held in Ruan Community Centre on Thurs. next. 1st May from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. All monies raised in Clare are spent in the county for the services offered by the local Alzheimers Association, so the support of the community will be much appreciated.

Ruan playgroup have been fortunate to get bag packing  in Dunnes stores on Fri 2nd May from 4 pm & Saturday 3rd May from 9 am to 7 pm. We would greatly appreciate help from anyone aged 16 yrs to active grandparents. If you can spare an hour please contact Playgroup on 6827791 or Martina  on 086 8555014. Thanking you in advance.

Junior Camogie News: Training continues this week with next fixture to be May 5th v Wolf Tones, venue and time TBC. Underage news:U14 success on Wednesday last when our girls proved to be the stronger side against Whitegate. Well done to all. U11 girls are participating in a tournament running in Tulla this weekend. Best wishes to all involved.

Fundraiser News: A Date for the Diary! Ruan Camogie Club will be running a Family Fun Bingo Night, May 30th in Purcells Bar Ruan at 9 pm. This is the clubs main fundraiser and is a great night for all the family!   Our club relies on the support of all parents, friends and parishioners.  Underage Fixtures: Ruan U14 C team had a high scoring win 8-11 to 8-9 in the first round v Feakle/Killanena. In Round 2 the U14 C team play Parteen this Monday in Parteen. The U A Ruan/Corofin team play Clonlara next Friday May 2 in Ruan or Corofin. See Clare Champion for times and venues.  Well done to Liam O'Donovan who played for the Clare Minors in their win over Kerry. They now play Tipperary Wednesday in Cusack Park at 7.00   

 The Ruan juniors had a good 3-9 to 0-10 win over Clarecastle in Round 2 of the Junior League on Easter Saturday last in Ruan. Our seniors had a well deserved draw with Ballyea on Easter Monday on a score of Ruan 0-18 Ballyea 1-15.
