invited to reflect on the vocation given to
each of us. In our Baptism we are called
personally to follow Jesus whether we are
young or old, a parent or individual, rich or
poor, or in Religious Life, God has called
each of us to fulfil a special role in life which
cannot be done by any other.
Let us make every effort to be faithful
always to this calling.
We are asked to pray for an increase of
vocations to Priesthood and Religious Life
today. Jesus said, “The harvest is great but
the labourers are few. Pray that the Lord of
the harvest will send labourers into
His harvest". (Matthew 9: 37-38). Religious Ceremonies From Monday 26th numbers attending funerals increase from 10 to 25
mourners. Hopefully this is the start of getting our Religious Ceremonies
back to a new normal. We will keep you all updated on any changes as
they occur, especially where Sacraments of Baptism, First Holy
Communion and Confirmation are concerned. Thank You! Please drop your Trócaire box or donation to Anne, Fr. Pat or to Fr. Damien, at your earliest convenience. Thank You! Deceased members of the O’Brien Families (Live on Imeall Boirne Facebook page) Today is Divine Mercy Sunday.
It was instituted by St. John Paul Ⅱ in May
2000. The message and devotion to Jesus
as The Divine Mercy is based on
the writings of Saint Faustina a Polish nun
who died in 1938 aged thirty three years.
The message of God's Divine Mercy is
nothing new. The Church has always taught
through Scripture and through tradition
that God is merciful and that forgiveness
is available for all sins.
His mercy is much greater than any sin. We ought to come before God humbly and
with confidence in his Divine Mercy.
We can say this prayer today;
O fount of Life,
unfathomable Divine Mercy,
envelop the whole world and
empty Yourself out upon us. Toonagh School Parents Association We are holding a clothes collection as a fundraiser after the Easter holidays on Thursday, April 15. Drop off times on that date are 9-10am, 1.45-3pm and 6.30-7.30pm. Should anyone wish to drop off bags outside of those times, Noreen Cummins may be contacted at 086 6030005 and she will make suitable arrangements to accommodate you Traffic calming measures in Ruan Village.
Members of the community had a meeting last month with Enda
Mac Namara Senior Engineer with Clare County Council.
Cllr Joe Killeen kindly attended the meeting on behalf of Cathal
Crowe TD. Lucky at the time of the meeting traffic was busy in the
village therefore all parties are fully in agreement that something
needs to be done to make the village safer. The ball is now with
Enda to get plans drawn up and hopefully funding issue will be
addressed by Cathal and his team. It is hoped to get a pedestrian
crossing, line markings, signage and possibly an electronic speed
detection sign. Enda did mention that this process will take a few
months but hopefully the outcome will benefit all in the community
sooner rather than later Trócaire Boxes Now that Lent has concluded the
