Next Baptism Course: Corofin on Saturday 12th March from 11:00 am to 12 Noon. 

All people intending to have children baptised must complete the baptismal course before each child is baptised.

Lenten Reflections:  A one page reflection on each Sunday Gospel called Hearing, Happening, Hoping can be downloaded from the Killaloe Diocesan website http://www.killaloediocese.ie/diocesan-news/hearing-happening-hoping-2016.html.  The first three Sundays are available now, weeks four, five and six will be available later.  These reflections were compiled by Fr. Seamus O’Connell, Maynooth, Jane Mellett, Dublin Diocese, Philip Carder, Armagh Diocese, Sr. Marie McNamara and Maureen Kelly Killaloe Diocese.

 

Holy Communion Preparation:    First Preparation Ceremony for Holy Communion will take place in Ruan on Sunday 28th February at 10:00 am.  First

Apostolic Work:  Ruan and Dysart Apostolic Members are now busy preparing for their annual display of work which will be held in Ruan Community Centre on Sunday 10th April 2016.

If you wish to donate a sacred vessel to the missions in memory of a loved one it would be very much appreciated. The price list is on display in both Churches. If interested contact: Eileen Roughan, Eileen Hannon or Mary Marrinan.

 

Sale of work & bake sale Sunday 21st February in Toonagh Hall from 12-4 pm. This fundraising event is organised by Becky Curtin, Fountain, who is one of ten general nursing students travelling to Uganda this summer volunteering with the Irish Charity Nurture Africa where they will be providing healthcare and education to the local orphaned children. There will be lots of spot prizes and all are welcome. Bake a cake or donate any unwanted goods to help fund this amazing good cause, Contact Becky 0861521227 /0863533979 or drop donations to her home in Fountain.

Bingo Nite Friday Night 26th February: Dysart girl, Claire McDonnell, a trainee nurse, and her friend and fellow student, Aisling Sweeney from Connemara, are travelling to the outback in Tanzania in May, to help people in need, in hospitals there. They are holding a Bingo Nite in Purcell's Bar, Ruan on Fri. 26th Feb at 7.30 pm, to fund their venture, and they are hoping for local support on the night. There will be lots of prizes and a raffle and a great night's fun is guaranteed.
A walking/running group has been set up in Ruan with all levels of fitness, and none, welcome. It meets under lights every Tue. & Thurs. evenings in the hurling field, at 7.20pm. Further details from Loreto @ 0872855680.
