Roscrea Folk Group sing mass in St. Cronan's Church, Roscrea.  Friday February 18th at 7:30pm.  All welcome.

The annual Burren Walk takes place on 13th February 2011.  The 10k walk is on the green road in the beautiful Burren, registration from 12:30pm at O'Donoghues in Fanore.  Sponsorship cards are available from 065 6868621 or donations on the day.  Music and refreshments in O'Donoghues after the walk. 


The members of Ruan and Dysart Apostolic Society are now busy preparing for their annual display of work which will take place on Sunday March 20th.  If you would like to donate a sacred vessel (ciborium, chalice or pyx, etc) to the missions in memory of a loved one, it would be much appreciated.  Prices range from €30 to €130 approx.  Full list of sacred vessels and prices are available at back of church.  All monies collected will go directly towards any medical and educational needs in our many foreign missions.  If interested contact E. In order to raise funds to repair and upgrade heating and plumbing and insulate Toonagh hall, a sale of home-baking and timber will be held next Sunday 20th February after both Dysart and Ruan masses.  Anyone wishing to donate cakes, buns, scones, etc, may leave them into O'Gorman's (opp. Dysart Church) or Ruan hall before Mass or contact Rose 087 0610212.  Your support is greatly appreciated.  Timber will also be available on the day.

RUAN MINOR CLUB AGM:  The AGM took place last Tuesday, outgoing Runaí Flan Lyons outlined a successful year for the club which is extremely challenged by small numbers in some age groups.  Glowing tributes were paid to Flan Lyons and Gearoid Roughan (Chair) for their outstanding work and Gearoid Roughan thanked everybody, particularly the ladies committee for the success of the 'Fun Day' and Féile organisation.  

The following officers were elected Chair: G. Roughan; Runaí: F Lyons; PRO: S Rice; 

Child Protection: D O'h-Aingeán.  Membership:   Players €5 / Family €10.

SCOR FINAL:  We wish Claire McDonell every succes in the All-Ireland final of Scór which takes place next Saturday 19th February in Casatlebar, Co Mayo.
